If Trump was not the front runner, Romney and the GOPe would probably be going after Cruz. Ted ought to think about what happens if he starts gaining any momentum. He’ll be on the GOPe target list next.
That only applies to candidates winning the nomination before the convention. After the first vote, it would not apply, and anyone can be nominated.

My point that Romney lost is factual. It may still upset you that he lost, but he lost. I voted for him and I think he is a decent man. He isn’t going to reach the hordes of angry voters flocking to vote for Trump. It’s just the truth.

May not be 'his' deal, per se. If a 'plan' to hand him the nomination at the convention exists (and there may well *be* such a plan), it doesn't necessarily had to have originated with him, although it would appear that he would be the direct main beneficiary. I suspect that if such a plan does indeed exist, he would be called upon by the originators to 'take yet another dive'...

It appears to me that the establishment in London, both King and court, still believes that whatever is happening out here in the Colonies; that is causing people to support George Washington in large numbers; is something temporary: a mere blip that caused a tea party or something like it to occur.
