Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is the presidential candidate who is responsible for President Barack Obama unwilling to take on the President, or things like his ties to radical Rev. Jeremiah Wright and domestic terrorist Bill Ayres.
Obama, being from the Chicago school of politics, wasn't as polite. He exposed Romney as a "vulture capitalist" who made a fortune off of buying companies, laying-off employees, and selling the companies in pieces. By the end of the campaign, Romney's questionable business practices were known by every voter.
Now, Romney is attacking conservative businessman Donald J. Trump. Because Trump is self-funding his campaign, the GOP establishment and political class can't control him. And that makes Romney angry!
Romney's full speech was leaked, and included shameless and untrue attacks, such as:
Donald Trump says he admires Vladimir Putin, while has called George W Bush a liar. That is a twisted example of evil trumping good.
and
Here's what I know. Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat.
His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill.
But in one tweet, Donald Trump's son Eric embarrassed Romney in a huge way. This says everything you need to know!
Eric shared a video of then-candidate Romney excited to be endorsed by Trump during the Presidential campaign. Romney knew his campaign was in trouble, and was aware that Trump represents the conservative base that wasnt excited to vote for Romney.
When things were tough for the Republican Party, Trump took time away from his business to campaign and fundraise for Mitt Romney. Hes a team player.
Now, Mitt Romney has shamelessly stabbed his fellow Republican in the back. In doing so, Romney reminded the conservative base exactly what he thinks of them.
What do you think about Mitt Romney's betrayal?
I really got a kicj out of Trump’s comment:
I’ll say a little bit about Romney’s speech..Just little because Romney is irrelevant....
Just about; I’ve seen it four different times this afternoon.
Romney’s attack is undoubtedly going to help Trump, but for some, the goal seems to be: “Let’s change the subject to how rotten and despicable Cruz is, no matter what the original discussion was about”.
He's insignificant. His only value is to confirm that the GOPe does not have conservative interests at the forefront. They only want to continue to enjoy their lobbysit paid dinners and junkets.
I’d guess this was more than just an attack on Trump. I think the establishment was trying to re-introduce Romney to the country by making a “presidential” speech to save the country. They still need to figure out how best to steel the nomination from the candidate with the most delegates (Cruz, or Trump) but they wanted Romney to be the replacement (Rubio can’t cut it and giving it to #3 in delegates wouldn’t look good).
Unfortunately for them, Romney just guaranteed he will not be the candidate to save the party. The media and democrats will love Romney for this but that isn’t going to beat Hillary and voters will matter in the GE even if republicans want to ignore them in the primaries.
Hopefully they are running out of ideas and Trump is working behind the scenes and will soon have them on board - not supporting him, but allowing the voters to make the decision without party interference.
Romney is joke.
This time they tried Bush, but we weren't going to have anymore of it!
Obama and Hillary are on their side regarding the important issues of trade, the border and foreign policy.
You are exactly right. I voted for Romney because I thought he had to be better for America than Obama. I swore I’d never again vote for someone who espoused major policy issues that I could not support; Romney’s behavior today only reenforces that decision. The GOPe is not good for America and neither is the “lesser of two evils”.
Amen! That is what the Establishment wants as their candidates-loser’s like Dole, McCain, Romney and tell us to like it!
Remember, kids, McQueeg and Willard were there to assure no Conservative won the Presidential nomination for the GOP and to equally assure Zero was elected and reelected. The RINO Establishment and the Democrats are one in the same. Same goals, same agenda.
Just a reminder:

What betrayal? I agree with everything he said.
Romney has always saved his most viscious attacks for fellow Republicans.
Yeah, you’re right. Many of us actually did like Romney, until today when we realized what a dumb@ss he is.
I couldn’t say it better. He was below the belt with Newt.
Speaking of whom, I bet, is going to be four score behind Trump in the coming weeks. I sure wish Trump using him.
We have many many good people who would work hard for Trump.
Romney was so timid that he could not beat the worst president in American history. Obama beat him up.
Romney has done Trump a big favour.
Our enemies help define us — now, Trump is clearly the “anti-Romney”. Romney hit first; so Trump is free to hit back as hard as he wants, without being accused of bullying. (Self-defense, even retaliation, isn’t bullying.) Romney has helped keep Trump on the front pages, in the lead-up to the yuge event on the 15th.
Everything that the MSM used to attack Romney in ‘12 cannot now be used against Trump. All of that ammo is now wet and useless — because the man it was directed against is against Trump.
Friends can be fickle — but, you can always rely on your enemies.
SOMETHING LEAKED?? Then someone VERBED someone?! And then more things HAPPENED?!?!?!
I swear all these sites hired a bunch of grade-school kids to write their headlines for them. And if you bother to read the article, they probably were the editors, too.
Same here.
