Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is the presidential candidate who is responsible for President Barack Obama unwilling to take on the President, or things like his ties to radical Rev. Jeremiah Wright and domestic terrorist Bill Ayres.
Obama, being from the Chicago school of politics, wasn't as polite. He exposed Romney as a "vulture capitalist" who made a fortune off of buying companies, laying-off employees, and selling the companies in pieces. By the end of the campaign, Romney's questionable business practices were known by every voter.
Now, Romney is attacking conservative businessman Donald J. Trump. Because Trump is self-funding his campaign, the GOP establishment and political class can't control him. And that makes Romney angry!
Romney's full speech was leaked, and included shameless and untrue attacks, such as:
Donald Trump says he admires Vladimir Putin, while has called George W Bush a liar. That is a twisted example of evil trumping good.
and
Here's what I know. Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud. His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He's playing the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House and all we get is a lousy hat.
His domestic policies would lead to recession. His foreign policies would make America and the world less safe. He has neither the temperament nor the judgment to be president. And his personal qualities would mean that America would cease to be a shining city on a hill.
But in one tweet, Donald Trump's son Eric embarrassed Romney in a huge way. This says everything you need to know!
Eric shared a video of then-candidate Romney excited to be endorsed by Trump during the Presidential campaign. Romney knew his campaign was in trouble, and was aware that Trump represents the conservative base that wasnt excited to vote for Romney.
When things were tough for the Republican Party, Trump took time away from his business to campaign and fundraise for Mitt Romney. Hes a team player.
Now, Mitt Romney has shamelessly stabbed his fellow Republican in the back. In doing so, Romney reminded the conservative base exactly what he thinks of them.
What do you think about Mitt Romney's betrayal?
I'm on record as saying I supported Romney back in 2012.........
I'm now on record as stating that I think Romney and the GOP are frauds.....I could have been more specific but there is a vulgar language barrier that should not be crossed........
“Cruz is setting himself up to cut a deal, one that benefits Cruz. Count on it.”
You’ve posted this twice, Mags.
Could you be a little more specific? What kind of deal could Cruz make now and with whom? And how could it benefit him.
Really curious.
Yeah right, you and him sound like Democrats. Congrats to you and your UNIPARTY philosophy.
Sure.
Cruz could cut a deal for a Supreme Court nom.
There’s chatter ...
No. I do not sound like a democrat.
Didn’t you read my disclaimer.
I will vote for the most horrible candidate ever to defeat Hillary.
And it’s ‘you and he’. You and him makes you sound dumb.
Oh, yeah, I’ve seen that speculation.
And I wouldn’t be totally against that except for one thing.
Who would he be cutting the deal with??
With the most cunning wheeler dealer ever?
If I were Cruz I would not believe any deal from Trump.
Not if he signed it in blood.
Not if he signed it before 7 judges.
Not ever.
You cannot trust the man.
I’m not sure that would be the best route for Ted.
He’d make a wonderful Supreme Court judge but we need him as President.
If he doesn’t make it this time, he will make it in four years whatever happens.
Romney did accomplish one thing with his speech. My son called me to say his dad had called him. He (my ex) is furious and is now all in for Trump.
He told my son he was voting for Trump even if he was just a flash in the pan. My son reminded him that’s an old gold mining saying, could be a single nugget, could be the mother lode.
Or a single nugget could be what the con man used to make you think it was a gold mine.
But I agree. Romney probably did more harm to us than good.
By us, I mean Cruz supporters.
What do I think about Mitten’s “betrayal”?
Not surprised in the least. Always knew that mittens was a douchebag.
But what about what Mittens said?
Can you refute any of it, or are we just here to talk about how horrible Mittens is?
That's seriously disingenuous.
Respectfully disagree. Not unfair because Mitt refused to fight for the election and when he had the 0 on the ropes during that debate with Crowley and she jumped in to defend him, he sulked and slunk away...his campaign did little to nothing to fight back against the 47% video as well.
Either way it’s gold ;)
Yes, Romney did you more harm than good.
Romkney appears to have lost some weight——his face is thinner, bags under his eyes—his cheeks are sunken, etc-—lieing is tough on a mans soul and Mittens does not look good-—boy, in all my 93 years I never realized how really rotten politics is and how really evil many involved in it are-—
Trump is not conservative, not as conservative as Romney or McCain or Bush, on the matters conservatives take position. What has has done is to voice the conservative disgust with the political correctness that drives conservatives insane and the way that Obama has put the full power of the bureaucracy behind what the power elites believes to force people to go long or else. My concern is, does Trump really mean what he says to is this only a campaign strategy? I can only hope that whatever his deep convictions that if he gets into power he will find it in his own self interest to turn this ship of state around. Hilary only means more of the same.
Not really.
I’ve seen multiple attacks on Romney but I haven’t seen anyone address his actual comments and defend Trump about them.
He did not sulk. he backed off. It was as if he had a mike in his ear and some handler was telling him to back away. The Reagan who took on Bobby Kennedy showed us how to do it. Trump is right. Romney refused to fight.

Is this for real?
