It makes a lot of sense. The uniparty is not stupid. So they built up a “conservative” alternative to take the fall at a convenient time. Rather astute actually. Unfortunately someone they couldn’t quite control showed up, and played by a different set of expectations. And the “conservative” alternative that they built up got it in his head that he might be The One when in reality his role was to be the stooge.
And that’s where we are right now. Thank God for campaigns.
You mean the establishment guy pretending to be anti establishment? Probably. His#1 donor is a hedge fund guy. I’ve always felt he was just like the rest. Just his “thing” was being the constitution guy and the religion guy. So he does a bunch of stuff in the Senate that he can hold up as his”record” against the establishment. But the reality is.it is a record of nothing.just lawyer speak.
