central_va where did you come from? Remember, you’re on my no-call list so once again I’ll just say this and then say goodbye.

Tariffs ARE a tax and do NOT promote domestic industry, it only PROTECTS them from competition, so the American consumer loses. Why does American industry need to be protected? Because of federal government interference that boosts the costs of doing business like forced minimum wage, high taxes, suffocating regulations, and protecion of unions. Tariffs and protectionism do NOTHING to address these ROOT CAUSES of businesses driven elsewhere to more cost-friendly locales.
