You have a point, but you really are naive. Cruz knew all about this little charade today. Romney could have easily endorsed Rubio, or Kasich or both. The establishment supposedly hates Cruz as much if not more than Trump. However, Milt says that any of the candidates are better than Trump. So, do you think for a minute that Cruz didn’t know the particulars of this, what Romney was going to say and that he was included in the “better than Trump crowd?” Cruz is as inside as they come and if he was truly the outsider he claims, he’d condemn Romney and do himself infinitely more good than staying on the sidelines with this. This is now a Trump vs. Everyone else race, and Cruz is part of the everyone else.
You nailed it. The silence is deafening.
Thank you for clarifying my naïveté. I had often wondered. Now there can be no denying it.
I disagree with you about your blanket statements but you are free to express such a belief.
I do not think Cruz is “as inside as they come”. In fact other than an impression I get from him speaking and his method of speech, I think his character is strong. Note, not perfect, all these candidates are FAR from perfect though right?
I agree with you on the issue of Cruz not coming out and VERY strongly disavowing what Mitts did. It was a wasted opportunity, and I agree it very well may show his character toward the behavior of the establishment. It’s basically everyone vs Trump, and I’m starting to worry about Trumps safety. Cruz could and should show backbone here.
Guess I won’t hold my breath in wait...
