Trump to hold press conference at 1:15 ET on C span. The above schedule for cspan does not reflect this yet.
He is probably going to release a stack of letters from the 2012 Romney campaign praising Trump and begging for money.

Yup, hopefully he walks up to a TV in front of the audience, turns it on, and shows Romney’s praising words about him, while remaining silent. When it’s over, he turns off the TV, and walks out

Rush just played a clip of Willard praising Trump in 2012 when Trump endorsed him.
What an utter, complete traitor. I now wish I had voted for Obama in 2012. At least I would have voted for an “honest” socialist, not one hiding behind his GOPe credentials.

Agreed. He will look much more Presidential, and defang Romney's attack, if he responds in a calm, cool and collected manner.
A great thing to do would be to play a clip that Mike Gallagher played this morning, a minute and 3 seconds long, that had Romney praising Trump to everyone in the world about his good judgment, business and economic sense, etc., etc. - in the 2012 election, when Trump was endorsing him. Show, via the tape, that Romney "speaks with fork-ed tongue" and that Romney has praised a man who has INCREASED his knowledge and experience in the 4 intervening years.
Leave the attack dog stuff to Christie, act Presidential yourself. Dismiss Romney as a self-interested gadfly who's day has come and gone.
Trump ought to tell the truth. “The GOP is going to try to steal the election at the convention and they want Mitt Romney to be their choice. Not me and not Ted Cruz. In other words, the people’s choices aren’t what the Republican party wants. Any questions?”

Trump is going to displace Romney’s moment in the spotlight in less than an hour. Talk about decisiveness. He calls C-Span, asks for coverage, gets it and sets up a news conference. This will be one helluva roast of Romney. Amazing!
Trump needs to win. There is no basis to talk about "stealing" if he doesn't win. 50% +1 delegates.
