Healthcare Reform to Make America Great Again

Since March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care ActObamacare. This legislation, passed by totally partisan votes in the House and Senate and signed into law by the most divisive and partisan President in American history, has tragically but predictably resulted in runaway costs, websites that dont work, greater rationing of care, higher premiums, less competition and fewer choices. Obamacare has raised the economic uncertainty of every single person residing in this country. As it appears Obamacare is certain to collapse of its own weight, the damage done by the Democrats and President Obama, and abetted by the Supreme Court, will be difficult to repair unless the next President and a Republican congress lead the effort to bring much-needed free market reforms to the healthcare industry.
But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.
However, it is not enough to simply repeal this terrible legislation. We will work with Congress to make sure we have a series of reforms ready for implementation that follow free market principles and that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country. By following free market principles and working together to create sound public policy that will broaden healthcare access, make healthcare more affordable and improve the quality of the care available to all Americans.

I think he’s been playing his cards close to the vest. He’s had other goals to focus on.
Droning on out of the gate with detailed policy plans, wouldn’t work. He’s releasing them on his website over time for those willing to look.

There is one other area of healthcare reform that needs to be addressed. That is the FDA and the regulatory burden that increases the cost of new drugs by 1.3 billion USD each. Those costs are the reason health care costs in general have exploded and can all me traced back to the Federal Government.
The phase out and elimination of the FDA was proposed in 1997 by the National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA). I do not have the link to the original paper now, however I do have the summary from their site.
Replace FDA With Underwriters Laboratories Method, Study Suggests
They also published a study the same year to remove the FDA from medical device development. That study (PDF) is here:
Replace FDA Regulation of Medical Devices with Third-Party Certification.
With Mr. Trumps policy positions and the phase out of the FDA, the United States would see medical costs drop radically, and medical care improve.

“Healthcare Reform starts with Tort Reform.”
Trump is too smart to put that out there now...he will go for it after the election.

Most malpractice cases take place in state courts, so federal tort reform wouldn’t have much impact.

Does Mr. Trump consider it sound public policy to remove government from health care entirely? Name ONE thing that was ever improved by having the government involved in it.
(other than explosions in the number of public employment)

To reduce the number of individuals needing access to programs like Medicaid and Childrens Health Insurance Program we will need to install programs that grow the economy and bring capital and jobs back to America. The best social program has always been a job and taking care of our economy will go a long way towards reducing our dependence on public health programs.A policy point often ignored, but very very important.

Cruz is so discombobulated now, that he doesn’t know the truth from a unicorn when it comes to the tiniest thing about TRUMP. What a pathetic LIAR. There is something wrong with saintly Ted, and it irritates the h&!! out of me.

A very good policy point, but I think we should just keep doing what we are told. The GOPe has done such a great job thus far. Go Rubio, or is it Ryan, Romney or Cruz. I have lost track.
To: Rightwing Conspiratr1
Frankly, the number ONE reason health care costs so much is because of Medicaid AND Medicare. Everything and anything subsidized by the government costs more. Medicaid is disguised welfare for sure.
But Medicare is subsidized by government?
Sorry Lostwinger, but the minus sign, in front of the subsidy makes it robbery; Almost a trllion$ worth. Remember stimulus 1 and 2?

People and pundits hear what they want to hear. Trump could lay out his entire platform in detail and some would still say “when is he going to be more specific”? It's laughable.

Cruz, like any sane person, was speaking about the only plans Donnie had spoken of in the past. Absolutely no need to apologize. Heck, Trump didn't know what was in it other than ‘many many plans’.
I haven't read this plan yet. I will. From the little I read in the exerpt it's easy to tell Trump didn't write it.

Thank you, Jane!
Trump has done a great job! He’s more specific than those whining he’s not.
“The best social program has always been a job”
He doesn’t think like a politician and that’s why we NEED him!
To: Jane Long
Thanks for the ping, another winner. Do you think maybe Cruz will stop with the he supports Obamacare or just continue his lies?
