From an interview with Bill Moyers, circa 1988.
Talk about major league projection...
I am told there are pornography websites out there with more factual information, class and decency than Noam Chomsky. However, I do not think JimRob would approve of promoting them here.
At least give Noam Chomsky credit for this - he saw the true nature of the Republican Party long before many “conservatives” did.
The press constantly portrays republicans in a perverse way. It works at times. Not that it is true, but it does tend to down play conservatives. Which was the intention. Few take the time to know what is truly happening. the press has been liberal for as long as I can remember, which is a long time.
God help and bless AMERICA!
It’s not just the Republican Party.
Chomsky’s description applies to just about any type of modern-day election - from the POTUS down to the local dogcatcher.
It’s all just a big con.
Just took a look. Old Noam is 87, so we can be sure that he’s not going to be around a whole lot longer. There’s a warm spot in Hell waiting for his arrival.
I’ve listened to Chomsky quite a bit.
He’s intellectually honest, but his view of the world is much different than mine.
Small differences in first principles can result in large variations in development.
Garbage in, garbage out.
The problem with leftists is that when they see “garbage out” with their own eyes, they start redefining “garbage” as “order, justice, and virtue.”
It may not actually be dishonesty when they do this. It can just be a radical difference in perspective.
This is one of the flaws - or perhaps paradoxes - in free, pluralistic and open societies.
Bill Moyers...the guy who made sure the Secret Service removed the bubble top from JFK's limo on November 22.
Its hard to chose between Noam or Bill. The disgust-o-meter pegs very high when either comes on the video.
It may not actually be dishonesty when they do this. It can just be a radical difference in perspective.
That's pretty much the same impression I get in listening to Chomsky. He interprets the same facts from a totally different perspective.
In this video Chomsky talks about how the establishment always thinks that the “stupid and ignorant masses” can’t be trusted to make the right decision. Obviously that is directly applicable to this election.
As if MIT - from which he has drawn a salary for something like sixty years - has nothing to do with the establishment.
stupid and ignorant masses cant be trusted to make the right decision.”
Cr@p, sorry to say Chomsky was correct based on the last two elections
