There are probably quite a few like that. Overall, when I think back a few years to when the Texas GOP was infested/dominated with RINOs like Hutchison, Perry, Dewhurst and such, I remain thrilled that I now have representation like Cruz, Abbott, Patrick. And even my own congressman is amazingly solid, one of only about 20 Republicans who refused to vote for Boehner for speaker.

Hence, it’s really my loyalty to this welcome turnaround that I’m going ahead and voting for Cruz. It’s not so much anti-Trump stance for me, as just standing with those who successfully overthrew the Texas RINO machine. We’ve got a pretty decent crowd in office for the first time in my life, and I’m pretty compelled to stick with it, regardless of whatever deliriums are going on with America itself.

I put Texas first. Not America. It’s not my country anymore.

Texans stand to gain the most from a Trump Presidency. At the very minimum, he will get the Mexican invasion under control. Texas schools, public health and welfare have been strapped by these invaders. But, the economy in Texas has been so good, it has not had the impact it will have at the next downturn. Smart Texans will vote for Trump.

Well said, bravo. That applies to your entire post, though the North Texas delegation has been very disappointing over the past couple of years. They've been good soldiers for Boehner...blech.

"Guess we will see tonight. Logic says Cruz should run away with it but this year who knows."

My dad's best friend, our family Pastor has sent this out to literally his entire contact list.

An open letter to Christians who are registered Republican voters in Maine and elsewhere:

If, we the Republicans choose a man who is not a natural born citizen, meaning either Cruz or Rubio, then we are no better than the democrats who put obama in office.

Just as one can not be a Christian who picks and chooses what part of the Bible he or she will follow and obey, nor can one claim to support the US Constitution who does not support and obey it in whole.

One of our biggest complaints of the ruling political class is that they do not obey their oath to uphold the Constitutions, that they instead bow down and obey the donor class, how can we hold those we elect to office to the Constitution if we continue to send people to office who are not Constitutionally qualified?

While I applaud loyalty, I can not applaud loyalty to those who will not stand up and obey what is written in the Supreme Law of our Land, the entire Constitution of these United States.

To vote for Ted Cruz, is a sham, it is a deceit worthy of democrats, it is a deceit worthy of mormons, muslims and other Christ/Truth haters, it is not a virtue of Christians.

I will say no more on this issue to you, but I will say this, Ted Cruz will answer in court. He and his supporters have brought this on Ted, he had any number of opportunities to withdraw from the race or request, of the Supreme Court, an opinion on his status.

Blind support has put Ted in a very precarious position.

He has been before the SCOTUS before, he knows he can not stone wall them, he knows he cannot steamroll over them, and he knows he is in very serious danger. For he will be going back to the court he has in the past deceived, for he did not, in his application before and to the Court ,ever mention dual citizenship.

Further more there does not seem to be any record showing that his father entered Canada legally, making Cruz a Cuban citizen, which opens the can of worms of his sitting in the US senate and the documents he signed in Texas to run for the Senate and before that the AG.

Supporters of Cruz have put him in a very, very precarious position.

A very well stated article! The ONLY thing I disagree with is accrediting supporters with Cruz’s predicament. I blame Cruz himself. HE put himself in that situation, and his supporters are but one more body that this man deceived. He alone made the decisions to do all that he did.

In short, you have published a complete crock of horse pucker. There isn’t a shred of actual fact or substance in there anywhere; yet in the USA you can write twaddle like this with no consequence except loss of your own reputation. Shame on you. What crap!

I agree with you, but what I put up was what our Pastor said. But, I, like you, hold Cruz most responsible.
