Real simple. You don’t get to use the party for your political advantage then betray it when your choice doesn’t win an election. Political parties are not “my way or the high way” position. They are a collection of interests. If you lose, you don’t get to decided to betray the party choice and stay in the party.

Now, if Stasse wants to resign his position and his membership in the GOP then run an independent campaign for the Seat when in a special election for the office, that would be a principled thing to do. But this gutless parasites will never do that.

Hopefully, Trump will not get the nomination, and this will become moot. Also, Sasse is way more of a conservative than the non-con fraud Trump.

Thankfully Nebraska votes 70% Republican. Sissy can vote for whoever he chooses there...and it CHANGES NOTHING.

His BIG PROBLEM will be President Trump having HUGE RALLIES for his Primary opponent the next time he’s up for re-election.

Trump will "save us" with his SCOTUS appointees?

From your dreams to God's ears!

Then I won’t be voting for a lot of his establishment buddies just because they’re republicans. We can play that game too. It is time to purge the party.

Look what we have gotten from both parties in the last 25 years. Hard to tell them apart, isn’t it. It’s all about power and money, not principals. This will continue into the future unless there is a change. Trump is that change.

"In other words, if Sen. Sassy gets his way, Goodbye religious liberty. Goodbye Second Amendment."

What makes anyone really think that if republicans in Washington could disarm America they would not do so? Especially if they could blame it on the democrats.

If a 70 year old real estate tycoon is a fat life altering event for them, imagine if Trump loses by three percent and those 180,000,000 losing voters have guns, wanting to blame something they know needs blame.

Sasse. A Harvard Oxford boy who got a degree in philosophy and liberal arts. Goes into government of course because his degree is useless elsewhere. Used his vast experience in an appointed position at DHS. Ran against a navy pilot in the primary.

He’s a pussy, and his opinion is meaningless.

Young Man sounds like a brat — if he cannot distinguish between Mr Trump and Hillary he is not worth listening to.

Sasse doesn’t deserve what you’re giving him. The attention you draw to him only encourages his like to be bigger asses than they already are. Seriously, he doesn’t deserve an iota of the news cycle. But he can always find a fool to feed him attention.

Perhaps out of primciple Sasse is hoping for a fragmented election like 1860.

I am a republican only so long as being one helps me move my agenda. Which is small governmemt, low taxes, the constitution being followed the way it’s supposed to, curtailing illegal immigration, supporting allies like Israel and and the UK, destroing enemies, and reducing the debt and deficet. When the republican party stops meeting that I will abandon it, now I agree with senator Sasse, and I would actually oppose a Donald Trump candidacy. Mostly because I feel personally that he would destroy our freedoms, probably without meaning to, but once we lose them it would be next to immpossible to regain them. Reagan said that America is the last great hope for the world. I agree because there is nowhere else to go if America falters, and I know no foreign enemy will take us down we will do it from the inside.

Before you start going all Trump World Star on us (shouting and using sophomoric name-calling) maybe you should you actually read Sen Sasse’s Facebook post where he makes some good points. https://www.facebook.com/sassefornebraska/posts/561073597391141

I personally don’t like the idea of being forced to choose between two dishonest New York Liberals in November.
