I’m not sure if you’re making the case that to be a liberal is an asset you look for in a candidate. Amnesty, broken promise by dems. Reagan never got the border security promised. He expressed his remorse over the abortion bill numerous times and worked hard to reverse his mistake. (SCOTUS nominees). Brady bill, he supported a background check but his presidency shows he was ardent about not restricting law abiding citizens. NAFTA, you think free trade is a bad thing? NAFTA as we know it was passed by Clinton. A VERY different animal. I’m still waiting for Trump to articulate one constitutional restriction on executive power.
