The front-to-back depth didn’t look like very much but I didn’t know how much you had before to compare it to.
I sure do feel for y’all. This is a MAJOR adjustment for you.

Good night and sleep well, Kathy. With luck, there’ll be no interruptions.
I’m heading out, too. We have some rough weather moving through tomorrow and I want to get up before the storms get here.

Kabocha squash, also known as Japanese pumpkin or Japanese squash, is a winter squash with a tough, dark-green or bright orange outer covering, depending on the variety. The fine-textured, golden flesh tastes somewhat like pumpkin or sweet potato. Like other winter squash such as butternut or acorn, kabocha is rich in nutrients, including fiber, beta carotene and potassium. Baking is a simple and nutritious way to cook this flavorful squash. Eat the baked squash as is, or use it in pies, soups, or other main dishes.

My husband has cooked this squash for us recently. It’s beautiful.

If Cut in 2/3 moon slices to bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees then even the skin is edible. Just bite into it.
