Yes. They searched everyone well. I also like how they surrounded the open portions of the stadium with school buses bumper to bumper for added protection. It was well fortified.
The security for these events is pretty profound. even when Palin was running - intense. I was at 4 of her rallies.. hours of wait to go through security. metal detectors. scanning. A plastic knife plunged however will do the job.
