And quite frankly you don't have a clue what Rush stands for.
So Rush is fraternizing with the enemy,going back on everything he has stood for for 27 years? If you buy that I have some swampland down here in S.Fla. that is under water half the year you would just love to buy.
Truth is Rush does make mistakes,he's human the 99.9% right all the time stuff he spouts is fantasy. Hope you realize that.
But that does that take away anything from him at all.Not hardly.
In broadcasting Limbaugh is the gold standard.
He is good enough to do it with two cochlear implants. Once again better that anyone else in the business.
The problem with Rush's show is that if you don't know a lot about talk radio,don't have your 4 or 5,000 hours on air already logged in, you don't understand everything he is doing.
For instance he has a new audience every 15 minutes so if he doesn't cover every topic there is he has a reason. He has to bring the level down to where everyone is aboard and he can keep everyone up to speed. A near impossible task but he does it better than anyone else.
As far as rush worship goes,I was in radio for over 20 years and do appreciate what he does and know just how good he is and how easy he makes it look.Believe me its not that easy.
As to his associating with the other side be it Schoomer, Mccain, a dinner he had with axelrod and val/jar my guess is that hes does the same thing we do when we watch the Sunday shows. We are finding out what our enemy is up to and what they have coming at us next, how they think, any little glimmer we can find out about the worst communist/gop-e types on the planet.
It's not because he gone over to the other side. You can't be someone else and do the radio it won't work. And, he has not hidden anything for 27 years, once again it won't work.
As far as what he has said about Rubio,Trump or Cruz when you are on three hours a day you will say stuff you never in a million years should have said and you will say a lot of stuff that is right on,Rush is no different.
We blasted him several weeks ago for taking Cruz's side. He stopped and went back to fair and balanced.
We got the message across to him that is wasn't so much that he was for one candidate or the other it was that he stopped being fair and balanced to all. We need him right down the middle all the time. He knows that,The guy is not perfect no matter how much he tell you he is.
We know there is outside pressure by his lawyer Mark Levin and his brother David to go for Cruz. He did it for two days and stopped.So far as I know there is no reason for him to go for Rubio at all.
Bottom line Rush the real deal. A role model for every other talk show hosts on the air. What he does is really complex and most won't understand it all.
You're right. Most don't get snake-oil salesmen until they have been relieved of their money. Same for three-card monte dealers. Suckers are drawn into the "appearance" of the simplicity of the game and don't realize they have been taken until they have lost all.
That's what Rush Limbaugh is: a snake-oil salesman and three-card monte dealer rolled into one. He suckered us all, not only with what he would say but also by the things he did not say.
You equate Rush's trip to NY to have dinner with Schumer an Graham with us watching Sunday morning news shows. Geez, what a stretch! Rush traveled to NY on his private jet, spending probably thousands on fuel and flight personnel costs, to see those two slugs whose politics is known to every sentient being in the western hemisphere? Puhleese!

Thank you for your kind words. I never thought I’d be writing anything like this regarding Rush, but then again, I don’t think any of us ever did.
I started listening to Rush in early 1988, 2 years before syndication. He was more raw then, but lots of fun to listen to.

Like me, your beliefs are not for sale. A rational person deals with what IS, not what we would like reality to be.
If you think its possible to do three hours per day while trying to screw over an audience think again. As a matter of fact you have someone trying it right now, glen beck, and he's a miserable failure at it.
Rush would never do that. He's too professional and if you cant see that you don't know what it takes to be successful on talk radio.
Why do you think every lib that tries talk radio fails,they have to get by on lies and it never works.

Wow, 1988! You have been listening a long time! I started listening Rush in about 1993/94. I first heard of Rush when I saw his television show in about 1992. I’ll never forget that clip he showed of Clinton at the Ron Brown funeral yukking it up, until he saw the camera; then Clinton turned on the fake tears! :-D
BTW, I went to your “About Page” and read some of your observations. Very good read! In particular, was your observation:
