CNN INTERVIEW - 2/28/16
It didn’t seem to interfere with the rest of the questions. Did it go bad during the David Duke question and work fine the rest of the time?
Funniest candidate... ever.
Hugh Hewitt on CNN just now has declared this Trump’s “Romney 47% moment”. Trump will surely go down now. (This on the same program that was displaying the CNN poll with Trump at 49%)
Another manufactured scandal by the media. They have nothing better to attack Trump about so they refer to this. Silly.
Plausible.(that his earpiece wasn’t working well). That’s all I’ll say about that.
Always seemed odd to me that he wouldn’t know who Duke was/is and/or not disavow his “support” immediately. Trump is many things (narcissistic loud-mouth who until recently supported abortion, fooled around on his wives, used cheap immigrant labor for some of his business, and supports public seizure of private lands for private use by another) but he’s no racist.
Hopefully he doesn’t forward any other Mussolini quotes today.
“On “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Trump about the retweet.
“Do you like the quote? Did you know it was Mussolini?” Todd inquired.
Trump suggested that he did, in fact, like the quote:
Sure. It’s OK to know it’s Benito Mussolini. Look, Mussolini was Mussolini. It’s OK. It’s a very good quote. It’s a very interesting quote. And I saw it and I know who said it. But what difference does it make, whether it’s Mussolini or somebody else?
“That’s probably why I have, between Facebook and Twitter, 14 million people,” Trump said of his followers. “It’s a very interesting quote, and people can talk about it,” he added.
“Do you want to be associated with a fascist?” Todd asked.
“No, I want to be associated with interesting quotes,” Trump replied.
“We do interesting things. And I sent out and certainly, hey, it got your attention, didn’t it?” he asked Todd.
