I had Lorne Greene’s version on a mid-sixties album he did (the time of his hit “Ringo”).
He also sang the Bonanza theme song with the lyrics telling the back story.
Now that I think about it, the song with the Bonanza backstory was not theone to the Bonanza theme song music.
The lyrics to the Bonanza theme song went,
