My point is and has been continuously that for those wishing to argue the original intent that the 1790 law is the only written document by which we have guidance as to the original intent of the founders. You need not search for any other I have done so there is none. That people will from time to time quote. I do agree that the 1790 law does intend to define "natural born" and, although it was repealed, it does give insight into what the founders intended. I have no dog in the hunt, but am concerned that the intent is being twisted to promote an agenda or candidate.
Whether right or wrong, I believe that both parents must be citizens, but this eliminates Cruz and Rubio and their supporters will not allow for it; hence the tortured wordplay.
