Cruz has made two really big mistakes— associating with Glen beck and choosing Rube over Trump if it came down to those two....

Dennis Prager has I think touched on some of the reasoning behind this. The state is in conflict with religion. Communism is a big state ideology that absolutely banished religion because it perceived it as a threat to state power. Leftists believe in using the state to create utopia on earth. Religious people believe the only true utopia happens in the afterlife and that we can never replicate it here.

Our founders said our rights were from God, not from the state. If they were given by the state, the state could take them away, but they can’t take away something given by God. Likewise, if we believe morality comes from the Bible, then we don’t accept the liberals making up a bunch of new moral codes that we are expected to follow like jailing people opposed to same-sex marriage, worshiping the earth, hating fossil fuels, etc.

Leftism itself is an ideology akin to religion. It has moral codes you have to accept, it judges and persecutes those who disagree, it asks you to have faith in the government to solve your problems for you. It is much easier to implant leftism in your malleable students if you first get their religion out of their head.

Well, I’ve been seeing the Cruz bashing ever since he got close to Trump in the polls. Every day we’re told there’s a new “worst Cruz mistake evah.” Of course the Trumpsters can claim everyone was saying Trump was about to collapse after one controversial statement or another. There’s a lot of hyperbole and insincerity in politics.

I know that, however he was in business, not politics. There are certain things that have to be done if one wants to not be targeted by the government. Believe me, I know. My husband is in business in a navy blue state. What was done before he threw his hat in the ring means nothing to me.

Kerry was a public servant, and paid by the taxpayers, and his every word, deed, and contribution should be held up to scrutiny.

That being said, my guy is Cruz, but I’m realistic about his chances at this point. . I just don’t want him to be shuffled aside, as some here would like. His mind, and loyalty to the constitution, would be a terrible thing to waste.

Trump could’ve simply kept his mouth shut and not commented on anything political, like most business owners do. Frankly, Trump sounds much more sincere in these older interviews than he does now. You’re just repeating Trump’s excuse for why he donated to Democrats or “got along with everybody.” I don’t buy it. It’s much more likely that he calculated what he should say to get the GOP base voters on his side, changed what positions he needed to and then used that excuse. We’ve seen it in politics a million times before, namely with Romney.

Even Trump says he’s “evolved” on some issues and become more conservative. If your theory is right, then he’s being dishonest about the evolving, and was just calculating a false message to the public earlier. And then you’re essentially saying Trump was lying then, but we should trust him now. Not a winning argument for Trump.

I don’t know what you do for a living, but business owners HAVE to be vocal, especially in blue states! My husband is as conservative as anyone, but he’s had to donate to Dems, through clenched teeth! It’s not a fun place to live! If he could move his business, he would, in a heartbeat. Many are leaving the state.

Tell that to Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby. These people are not giving up their values. They expect others to give them the right to do business and will walk away if they are asked to violate their principles.

It’s not easy for them to do. But we’re talking about the presidency here. We’re allowed to be selective and demand someone who went above and beyond the call of duty.

The day that you have to wrestle with this, give me a call, and tell me what you did. You talk big, but I bet you would do the same thing.

Despite Cruz’s attacks on his party’s donor class and establishment, the Texas senator Ted Cruz’s GOP campaign has received $37 million from just four donors.

The Wilks family of Cisco, Texas, New York hedge fund tycoon Bob Mercer, Texas energy investor Toby Neugebauer and Illinois manufacturing moguls Dick and Liz Uihlein.

It’s much easier for Chik-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby than for the other 99% of businesses in this country.

If the presidents of those companies ran for the presidency, I bet you would find objectionable stances and/or contributions in their pasts.

They weren’t always as large as they are now.

Cruz = Trojan horse

Cruz is pretending he is outside the Establishment.

Cruz worked for George W. Bush Administration along with his wife.

He is WITH the Establishment.

Cruz’s is only there this election to siphon conservative votes from the non Establishment candidate. He was only there to help Jeb.

Remember Cruz worked for George W. Bush. It was Cruz who suggested John Roberts for the U.S. Supreme Court. Another Trojan that fooled most conservatives. Why has Cruz NEVER MENTIONED during his rallies, debates, etc.. that he and his wife worked in George W Bush Administration?

It was his wife that worked with Condi Rice to help make the case for the war in Iraq. It was his wife that helped negotiate U.S. China trade policy where we still pay tariffs and China does not. It’s where China is allowed to manipulate their currency to make it harder for us to sell them anything.

The country really does not know who Cruz was prior to the US senate run Gee who does that sound like????

This explains a lot and why I believe Ted Cruz is a Bush Trojan horse at a bare minimum.

Cruz did NOT suggest Roberts.

You do realize at the time Cruz was working for Bush, this entire forum supported Bush against the Democrats and against McCain.

Having experience in government as a lower level employee actually helps if you eventually want to run the thing. I’m glad Cruz got that experience supporting Republicans.

And I don’t care what Heidi does. Do you care that Ivanka supported Corey Booker, her and Trump’s son support same-sex marriage, and she’s best friends with Chelsea Clinton?

Yes Cruz did suggest Justice John Roberts. Here is the evidence.

Yea... I agree— I can still get behind Cruz-— I would still hope though he distances himself from Beck and Rubio...

No, he didn’t. What you pasted is absolutely not evidence that Cruz suggested Roberts. You’re repeating a Trump lie which Cruz has denied.

Cruz is right, and with public exposure of the ugly truth about Republican donors, is a man with a target on his back. Here's how retired Marine Lt. Colonel Oliver North describes America, where according to our godless left-right controlled U.S. government North is an extremist because:

" I am a Christian and meet regularly with other Christians to study Gods word. My faith convinces me the prophecies in the Holy Bible are true. I believe in the sanctity of life, oppose abortion and want to preserve marriage as the union of a man and woman. I am a veteran with skills and knowledge from military training and combat. I own several firearms, frequently shoot them, buy ammunition and consider efforts to infringe on my Second Amendment rights to be wrong and unconstitutional. I frequently support the sovereignty of the United States, am deeply concerned about our economy, increasingly higher taxes, illegal immigration, soaring unemployment and actions by our government that will bury my children beneath a mountain of debt. Apparently, all this makes me a 'right-wing extremist.' At least that's what it says in the April 7, 2009 'assessment' issued by the Office of Intelligence and Analysis at the Department of Homeland Security." (The Snapping of the American Mind: Healing a Nation Broken by a Lawless Government and Godless Culture," David Kupelian)

That’s an article from Ted Criz himself in 2005 saying what I just told you.

You can pretend that Ted Cruz never wrote that article all you want..., but that does not mean you dictate reality.

You live in fantasy land if you think Cruz has nothing to do with John Roberts.

Don’t look at Ted it is his wife. She is the bagman for him. Little miss Evita Peron is in bed with the money people. Is she part of the Tea Party? Ted is the front man. CruZZers take a closer shower you are now in bed with the Bushes.
