Never heard of this organization before.

Looks like the goal of the whole Seven Mountain thing was/is more along the lines of working to bring about some kind of second “Awakening”, as happened in the 1600’s, which ultimately helped draw many in society back to it’s roots of faith in God and individual responsibility for over a generation.

While our nations history is not finished yet, I don’t think anyone needs to worry about this society turning back to God though. The hearts of most Americans today are almost completely at war with God, or the idea of God, and against any who profess to believe in God.

Is it not sport to make mock Christ and Christians throughout the entertainment industry, media, and education system, even down to the youngest ages, at the same time successfully proselytizing for humanism, socialism, the LBGT community, paganism, and any other world religion but Christianity.

From their site, the “seven mountains” are a reference to what they refer to as the common building blocks of society - religion, family, education, government, media, and arts and entertainment, as all of these parts of society have for the most part not only turned away from true faith in God, but are at war with God.

While I could be wrong, (as I only took a cursory look), from what I can see, it would be a mistake to throw this group in with the seriously flawed “Kingdom Theology” folks, as I think some have done.

At the end of the day, just as many of the “signers” of our US Constitution expressed, a free society simply cannot exist without individual faith in God.

While I personally disagree with some of what I read, I believe their motivation an goals are good.

By the way, David Barton has sought support and networked with many organizations he does not fully agree with to try and influence as many as possible across a spectrum.

It is almost impossible to get a wide audience today if you stand for anything good.

He would not be the first one to make me upset by reaching out too far. I mean Glen Beck drove me nuts almost from the beginning of his national career.

On the other hand, having known David Barton for almost 3 decades now, and all rhetoric aside, I would have to say he is a true historian, God fearing man, and true patriot.

I would be perfectly happy if this nation turned back to God. Every answer and solution to the problems we have in the world can be found in the Bible.

People keep wondering why Cruz and Beck are linked up and this seems to be the reason.

I had never heard of any of this either, at least not in detail. It seems like this was envisioned in 1975 and I think I would have to do more research about it all. The following article gives more information of Ted Cruz’s and his father’s role in orchestrating it.
