I just got off the phone with a Cruz phone campaign worker and spoke with him for 21 minutes and 35 seconds. He said he loved the call but that he was in charge of the office and had to get to the next person on the list.

He said he didn't fully trust Trump and didn't appreciate some of Trump's positions. I said I agreed, but that only Trump could demolish the GOPe AND political correctness AND get a modicum of what we do need pushed through Congress.

He couldn't disagree with that, but he hoped my wife and I would still reconsider.

If we could give Cruz the best of Trump (and get rid of Cruz's bad spots), we'd have the most wonderful candidate. But we need to do the best we can, with what we have, and Cruz is not nearly as assured of winning the presidency as is Trump.

Cruz would be an excellent VP, though, and could help guide Trump and fix a ton of our issues in the background, using Trump to push the right changes.
