I think you meant "dissent". The other is a genetic thing.
No, we don't have healthy dissent in the media, at least not on TV, but we all know everyone on the tube has a bias. As ugly as that can get, it's the American Way. We are free to agree or not.
Those of us who care are scouring the internet and reading magazines we trust, newspapers we find to be marginally correct (never saw one get it right yet, at least not every time), and doing our own digging, not just accepting things at face value.
What we do not have is a media muzzled by fear of continuous frivolous lawsuits.
As Jefferson said, "I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it."
The ability to sue for Libel and Slander already exists. Using that as a hammer to quash any opposing viewpoints or exposure of wrongdoing is not in keeping with the spirit of the First Amendment. That is what would be the likely outcome.

We need to have a national conversation about the effect of the Left's control of the media. But, since the Lefty Media controls the media, that's not going to happen.
All that aside, I'm beginning to think that this is one of Trump's patented 3-D moves, where everyone else is thinking in 2-D.
He might be trying to pick a fight with the DeathStar itself, knowing how the "journalists" will react.
I'm going to sit back and let this pot simmer.
It's unrealistic to think that the Uniparty Establishment & its layers of Lefty judges would ever allow a change in any laws protecting their sliming monopoly.

You won’t believe it but I’ve had the Apollo 11 moon landing on my mind since this morning (I won’t bore you with the reasons why). When it was time to make their move to the surface, Houston told Eagle (lunar module) they were ‘go’ for power descent to land on the moon. I guess that’s where I got ‘descent’ instead of dissent.
I’ll try to keep my mind on the task at hand in the future!
