I saw a cow with a calf go after a dog one time. Suddenly, there was a pile of angry looking cows coming through that field. That dog beat feet like it was on fire.
Even coyotes don’t mess with horses.

Cows hate dogs.
I'll sneak across a field if I don't have a dog with me. With a dog, I'd rather go around.

Since I was a kid, in Iowa the cows always stare at me. Made me embarrassed like my Aunt Margaret....who insisted on giving me a bath...at age 12!
Cows are good watchdogs....they will do a group stare at any strangers that approach.
