I don’t think it was a bad night for Trump at all. He looked like grandpa being badgered for a new car by two competing spoiled brat nephews. Rubio bringing up a union lawsuit against a Trump contractor that happened when Rubio was 9 (did he still have a green card then?) or a lawsuit filed by some obscure Los Angeles attorney who wants to start a class action to get more money (cause you know in class actions it’s only the lawyers that make money), fell flat on their face for anyone with a brain. Cruz melted down so badly he resorted to an ‘off your meds’ comment - how classy for a lawyer. And his comments afterwards? wow. Billionaire businessman being badgered by two sleazy attorneys was the image taken away by many.
Cruz beat Trump on the Clinton Foundation and they both beat him on the Trump University. Rubio and to a lesser extent Cruz beat Trump on the illegal workers. (That would have been even stronger had he pointed out the illegals currently working on Trump’s hotel in DC.)
Cruz exposed Trump’s real views on healthcare. All he could do was respond with some nonsensical, meaningless, and repetitive answer, then get called by Rubio on his repetitions.
All in all, Trump got bloodied.
Of course, his supporters think that whenever he insults someone, that means he was brilliant and showed how strong he was, but when the other candidates land blows on Donald, that proves that they’re little children and they are losers.
This is the cult of personality I’ve been talking about. It was dangerous around 0bama, and it’s equally dangerous around The Don.
