Tonight was typical. Trump inherited money but he had already been running the company for 8 years before he inherited anything. Sure he had a leg up but he took his father’s company and moved it in an entirely new direction outside of the low income housing which had made his father a millionaire and into the Manhattan real-estate market which he then proceeded to grow the company into a multi- billion dollar company with operations worldwide. Rubio and Cruz both have been nothing more than a career politicians all their lives and Cruz is far better educated and also conservative than Rubio.
Rubio’s belief that Trump inherited everything demonstrates a lack of understanding of business and all that Trump has accomplished.
I’ve known many families in which the kids did inherit the family business and promptly drove it into the ground.
I don’t know how many owners of companies I’ve seen whose kids couldn’t run a lemon aid stand.
