This chilled me to the bone. Bad stuff for sure, and it marked my most sympathetic moment for Ben Carson to date.

As conservatives under Obama’s reign, it is a given that if you criticize, you’ll likely be audited.

I’ve been audited after speaking out publicly about Obama and several others in my area were audited also around the same time.

If the GOP wants to know why people are angry with them—they could start with issues like that! Which Republican representative even tried to rein in the IRS?

Heck they couldn’t even punish the people who needed to be punished for documented crimes against citizens.

It is wrong to sympathize with someone just because they're being victimized by the Government - even if they complain about it publicly.

Who wouldn't do that? We are all being victimized.

Sounds like that according to world renowned tax attorney/Canadian, Ted Cruz, if you are audited that means you committed fraud. Is that true?

No different than IRS and conservative 503c BS from 2012. Marxists are using our laws and govt entities against anyone who disagrees with th party line.

Right.

Did you see Cruz say that post debate? LOL!

He’s obviously never been in the private sector and has no clue.

I actually head Cruz on MSNBC suggest that Trump committed Tax Fraud by being audited. He said it more than once. And that was why Trump wouldn’t release his taxes. Jeez what a ginned up controversy. Chrissy was appalled at St. Ted’s assertions and talked about it for two segments.

Libs may question the actions of Nixon, Reagan, et. al., but no one other than libs have dropped nuclear weapons, imprisoned U.S. citizens guilty only of being “the wrong race at the wrong time,” used the IRS as a weapon, started a world war, etc. Do libs ever look in the mirror or is the image too difficult?

And tho Dr. Carson is very soft spoken, it took real cojones to speak out as he did at the National Prayer Breakfast.

I don’t care if I get flamed, but that (along with the many singers he has had—like tonight’s “would somebody please attack me “) pits him in a Trump VP contention.

The IRS broke the law. If they come up empty handed in one year. They cannot audit again for 3 years. You know, so they cannot persecute someone for political purposes.

Carson’s tax advisors should have stopped the IRS in its tracks on the second year.

I know a candidate for state senator who was subjected to a very invasive audit by the IRS after challenging one of Obama’s key supporters in the legislature. Then to get the point across even further, the local police department towed his automobile from its longtime normal parking space and generally began to make a nuisance of themselves whenever possible. This also took place after the county suddenly had a problem with the machine counting the ballots and had to manually recount the votes, after which the large lead in votes disappeared and was replaced by a loss of only a few dozen votes from only this one county.

In 2010 after voicing my opposition to president Obama and donating to the tea party, I got audit by the IRS for 2008, then expanded to 2009 and 2010. What a night mare. After 6 years it is finally resolved. 6 years living in a nightmare. And I am not even rich.
