Personally, I am not sure I want to endure another one of these things. I mean to me it's a political theater of the absurd. It certainly is not a bona fide "debate" - it is a Q&A session with the MSM moderators in the spotlight, holding all the cards, and calling all the shots. It's again the Right letting the Left run the Right's show. It is a wonder to me that the GOP candidates come to these things so meekly like sheep to the slaughter.
It is also a wonder to me that people like me keep watching these things. Feels a little like Lucy continually tempting Charlie Brown to kick the ball. It's the same result every time: just like Lucy pulling the ball away at the last second, this event provides nothing very substantive or new, no one has time to go into any depth on anything, and the network ends by congratulating themselves on what a wonderful job they did.
So why do they go to these things and why do we watch them? Well my excuse has been because of Trump - he injects a little liveliness into what would otherwise be deadly boring IMO. But I'm not sure even Trump can get me to keep watching these things.
I guess there's at least a couple of relatively new breaking stories that may be part of tonight's festivities, dunno.
One is Cruz's motion to dismiss an effort to get his NBC eligibility status resolved in federal court. Cruz's refusal to get this thing settled in federal court one way or the other does not look like good faith on his part to clear away obstacles that could DQ him later if he were nominated potentially handing the election to the socialists. That would be disastrous of course and I expect more from Cruz than this - seems like he's gambling with America's future.

Secondly is the late-breaking rumors about Rubio and a possible scandal or affair. Gee haven't had any of those yet this campaign so here we go.

DRUDGE DEBATE POLL:
TRUMP 70.79% (412 votes)
RUBIO 12.2% (71 votes)
CRUZ 11.86% (69 votes)
KASICH 3.44% (20 votes)
CARSON 1.71% (10 votes)
Cruz, just batting at everything.
Real Clear Politics?
Come on, bother.
Trump is only treading water tonight, at best. Trump had no problems with saying illegals can come back and become citizens, as long as they leave, first.
Rubio has been pretty solid, but he is not trustworthy.
Interesting debate.
Trump smokes Bill and Hillary.
Oh man, there is a another whole hour to go in this debate? Uggggh!
1.5 hours into the debate and Rubio is in last place
This business about tax returns is nonsense,
Cruz really looking good. Trump needs someone to quickly get him up to speed on policy. He should have stayed home tonight.
Trumpertantrum is spinning a line of BS about releasing his tax returns.
The audit reason is crap.
There is no reason they can’t be released even if he is being audited.
He is hiding something.
Cruz going to bat for the IRS is a joke.
cruz is a slimy bastard, he’s done. Add the dis-likability to the equation, there is no way he ever wins another election again. rubio is bad, but he owns second place.
Love the tax question; attack trump with a Romney establishment inflammatory statement, then politely ask the others a simple will they file. Hugh Hewitt is a flaming establishment hack and I am almost considering third party as my number 2 choice if it is not Trump. My high school aged son is supposed to help with the Cruz campaign (family friend is a Cruz delegate) for the next two weeks but tonight is seriously making me reconsider it.
Trump, how about that until Palestinians give up RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM, no deal for the Palestinian Islams.
This is the USA. No need for Spanish at this debate.
E Pluribus Unum !
Not a good answer by Trump IMHO on the Israeli- Palestinian debate.
To try and imply that there isn’t a good guy or bad guy there is just wrong.
I’m late to the thread. I’m listening to it on the radio. Even before it started, the talking heads were talking against Donald, at least one segment. I didn’t listen to all of the pre-debate discussion.
Kasich handing his resume to Trump again. I hope he throws it in the trash.
I hope that the nominee is either Trump or Cruz. Cruz and Trump are more alike in many ways that matter to me. I can’t live with the thought of Rubio being the nominee.
So the Cubans are making their stand at the Wailing Wall, at least there is one country they are passionate about — pity it is not the USA
