A white nationalist-linked super PAC issued a robocall on behalf of Republican candidate Donald Trump urging voters not to support "Cuban" opponents Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.
The call from the American National PAC to voters in Vermont and Minnesota, which was not authorized by Trump, was voiced by William Johnson, a self-described farmer and head of the white nationalist American Freedom Party.
"The white race is dying out in America and Europe because we are afraid to be called 'racist,'" Johnson said in the call. "Donald Trump is not a racist, but Donald Trump is not afraid. Don't vote for a Cuban. Vote for Donald Trump."
Rubio's campaign said, "this is an outrageous robocall that Trump should immediately repudiate and demand that this group cease its operations."
"This is the lowest form of campaigning, and is the exact same type of dirty tricks Donald Trump has been decrying for weeks now," Rubio spokesman Alex Burgos said.
Trump doesn’t need this CRUZ and RUBIO type SOP.
So to smear Trump with this is utterly futile!
Does Trump have any control of this group?
I doubt it.
People can spend their money to support any candidate they want, this group has that right. It’s doubtful Trump and his campaign has ever heard of them or even had any contact with them.
Based on Trump’s rhetoric that he doesn’t like and prefers to not have SuperPACs representing him, I am sure he has no involvement in this group.
I would imagine ANYONE can start a superPAC if they want.
Other candidates, including Jeb Bush, were blamed for grounds they had no control over.
Not connected with Trump, just pro-Trump.
Making sure that is clear.
“I would imagine ANYONE can start a superPAC if they want.”
Exactly.
They’re probably being paid by an anti-Trump PAC.
does the tin foil really help ?
As Hillary said, “unfortunately” people can say offensive things in America.
Who’s the Kraut?
lol
But, you will vote for someone whose p;parents were alcoholics and whose mom had a baby out of wedlock? Got it!
After Chris McDaniel can you rule anything out?
That’s what the Paultards always said about Ron Paul.
Keep that double standard going!
Which double standards?
