Furthermore, the FBI originally had the password for the phone and then somebody at the FBI changed it, possibly by mistake.

I’m not ‘subverting the rights’ of anyone except a dead terrorist. Why is that so hard to grasp? The fact that the government may have made an error does not invalidate the need to crack this phone. Is that your standard, the government may not make any errors?
