Looks like Super Tuesday might be Ted Cruz’s swan song.

Last polls showing Trump has pulled even in Texas and there is still time for that scale to tip completely against Cruz.

I have never bashed Cruz or his supporters who have been loyal to him.

I think South Carolina and the evangelical vote leaving him was the final straw. As much as Cruz’s time in the US Senate has been anti establishment the fact that he holds office period when the mood has been “We want an outsider” didn’t help either.

IMHO Cruz’s mistake was...
* Hiring staffers that pulled tricks then forced to fire them.
* Glen Beck as a spokesman. I used to DVR his show on Fox News. But since he went solo I do not know what happened to the guy. I will not call him crazy. But whatever the issue is, it is pushing support away rather than pulling it in.
* Cruz ran a race for 2012 and not 2016. His deep conservative tone might have worked against someone like Romney. But has proven ineffective against Trump.

I expect Cruz to withdrawal if he loses in Texas, he will get some delegates Tuesday but the writing is on the wall. Then it will be a two man race and Rubio with his youth, Establishment backing and historical record on immigration will do him in two weeks later.

Then we will see how/if Trump can mend fences. I expect him to have the nomination wrapped up by April. Does he pull Rubio in so he can control the Establishment or throw them a bone?

As for Cruz. Truth be told I see him not as a VP but as a very logical selection to the vacant Supreme Court position.

Cruz could mend with Donald. Donald would be praised for giving Cruz an Ambassadorship. Canada would be a good choice. A coming home so to speak.
