Gov. John Kasich suggested that religious businesses shouldn't be able to decline to service same-sex celebrations.

But if you're a cupcake maker and somebody wants a cupcake, make them a cupcake," said the Ohio governor. "Let's not have a big lawsuit or argument over all this stuff. Move on. The next thing, you know, they might be saying if you're divorced you shouldn't get a cupcake."

He been hanging around Glenn Beck?
So said the Twinkie about cupcakes..
Kasich can *service* all the phags he wants.
Shut up, John. Just shut the ever loving f*** up and go away.

Kasich is the Joe Biden of the Republican party. Uncle Johnny if you will. :-)
kasich
desperate small ball
in it for the campaign contributions
no chance in hell
Who doesn’t want a penis on a cake?
Exactly. Kasich is decadent.
There are still traditional religious faiths out there that have always believed marriage is sacred, and the ceremonial celebration is a Holy Sacrament and civil divorce is not recognized.
To be forced to call perverse abominations a marriage, and to be forced to bake and/or deliver the proverbial “cupcake” for and to an abominable union is sacrilege.
I know, I know. Many of us have not lived up to our faith, but we do not wish it crushed under the jackboot of federal law.
A very simplistic answer to a complex problem. I think people should be free to serve whoever they want, and they should be free to advertise it. If you don’t want to provide services to a protected class then say so and let the market sort it out. But the ACLU would have a conniption fit over that.
Or a fudgecake
With this, Kasich just removed himself from any chance of president or vice president as far as I am concerned.
Or agree to do it, but provide the service in such a way that gays won’t want to do business with you. For example, advertise that all profits for gay weddings go to a fundamentalist Christian church. I don’t think going head-on with militant homosexuals and losing everything you own is the way to fight this, because you will just lose everything and not change anything. Passive-aggressive works much better in this instance.
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/22/politics/john-kasich-increased-media-attention/ The quote is on CNN. I assume the big government liberal really said this.
Personally, I would have baked the cake for the perverts. I would have done a good job if they hired me. And I would have charged them triple to make up for dealing with something I found disgusting (I used to charge democrats triple, when I was willing to consult for them at all). That is my personal choice because, to me, baking a cake does not constitute participating in their parody of a sacred sacrament.
However, Kasich is fatally wrong on this question. Itâs not about what I would choose to do or what he would choose to do. This is about our God-given individual right to the free exercise of our religion - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in all areas of our lives. By arguing against protecting the God-given rights enshrined in the Constitution, Kasich is proving that my previous conclusion about him was right, as was my reasoning. Kasich does not value either the literal words of the Constitution or the idea of natural rights.
straight people need to ‘service’ gays, but gay hairdressers can refuse to cut the hair of straight moms?
I’ll never defend Kasich again. He just doesn’t get it.
This was about a WEDDING cake.
Get it, Kasich?
What a despicable idiot.
That there is funny.
The Christian bakers in Oregon were sued by a homosexual couple who had been customers of theirs for years, because in that one particular instance, the Christians bakers declined to bake a cake to be explicitly decorated to celebrate a homosexual mirage. They even politely referred them to bakeries which would be happy to do it, but the perverts were determined that it had to be this bakery, even after years of friendly service, because they wanted to persecute and make an example of Christians who has served them without problem for years. That was their agenda from the first, as proven by the fact that they’d been receiving service for years.
Can you imagine these Christian bakers being dorced to decorate a cake to celebrate which their beliefs, based on the Bible, calls not only a sin but an abomination? It makes them party to supporting the sin. That’s what the sodomites want, everyone to have to deny their conscience and be forced to join in celebrating and supporting their sin. It’s as if a Jewish bakery were forced to decorate a cake depicting the ovens at Auschwitiz.
They were willing to destroy people who had given them cheerful service for years for their agenda.
I have yet to hear of a case of the homosexuals trying this tactic on a Muslim bakery or business, other than the one instance of a Muslim taxi driver who wouldn’t take dogs.
I think it’s more like Kasich is being serviced.
