And this is wrong in a showman? Trump didn’t write the book to tell people how to become President.

Things can be said in many different ways. The same attitude could be described as giving people a dream they can believe in so that we can work together to make it come true. Its only in your spin that it is deceitful. Trump is promoting his vision of what America can become and painting the colors brightly so that people will catch fire and work to make it happen.
