He has some serious baggage:
He resigned as chief executive of Columbia/HCA in 1997, amid a controversy over the company’s business and Medicare billing practices; the company ultimately admitted to fourteen felonies and agreed to pay the federal government over $600 million, which was the largest fraud settlement in US history. Scott was not implicated and no charges were levelled against him personally.[3][4][5][6][7] Scott later became a venture capitalist.
Scott announced his intention to run for governor of Florida, in 2010. He defeated Bill McCollum in the Republican primary election and defeated Democratic nominee Alex Sink in a close race in the general election, spending roughly $75 million of his own money in the process.[8] In 2014, he won re-election over former Republican turned Democratic challenger, former governor Charlie Crist and others.
Scott is a good guy and GREAT Governor of Florida (nobody starved to death on his watch) , but is probably too polarizing to run with Trump.
Never know though, Trump has to pick somebody, and it seems he has said too much negative stuff about Cruz for him to ask him to be VP.
Very misleading headline. He’s “officially” on some WaPo list of possibles.
Sorry but I get these “Scott’s” confused. Wisconsin, right?
Brilliant! Onyx!
Rick Scott, NO way in Hell!!!!
Geez, maybe he changed his mind since he was reported to have picked Oprah.....(bottom line, this is BS. He won’t play that card until the convention, why should he?)
This might be a time when ‘identity politics’ is worthwhile.
A woman would fit Trump’s electoral needs very well.
I like Cynthia Lummis or maybe Mia Love.
Can you honestly say you would welcome that pick? His flailing arms and body language just about does me in.. . .let alone what comes out of his mouth.
HE is doing. A good job a governor of Florida
You could say he was the first TRUMP
Never ran for anything before his run as Governor
Way too much baggage. Stay in FL your doing a great job.
She would be my preference regardless of who the presidential nominee is. That picture of her on the tarmac lecturing Obama...
She had a cancer scare I believe. Any ideas on the status?
Bad idea.
A Republican President needs a Vice-President who is more conservative than the President. It’s assassination insurance. Trump would do well with Cruz as VP.
Trump is an outsider. He needs a Washington insider. There has to be one worth considering.
Rick Scott is the Governor of Florida. He is on his second term.
Floated by who? Rick Scott?
Sessions would be a good choice. imo
Yes, that is him. I like him because he took on the unions and even when squishy moderates fled due to the pressure, he stuck to his guns and got reform done.
