He and Chuckie Schu can throw all the tantrums they want but I'd bet Charles Grassley won't be losing any sleep over it.
Meanwhile the Democrats in New Jersey have been blocking a state supreme court nomination for SIX YEARS!!!!!!
He's probably right, in the press' fevered scribblings at least. When Dems do it, it's not "obstruction", it's standing up for their values! In fact I recall one time before some POTUS election (08 or 12 maybe?) when Reid said that if the Republican was elected, stopping his agenda would be job one.
HOORAY Grassley
Harry POS Reid ALERT!
In other words, Grassley has just sealed his legacy as one of the most important protectors of the constitution in the history of the Republic.
Call Grassley and offer him support..!!

They are such hypocrites. It was the ones shouting loudest right now who were against Bush appointing judges.
I am sorry.
Holding a SCOTUS seat open for ten months does NOT equate to depriving 20% of Americans of their civil rights.
Grassley also knows he could go down in history as the man who killed the Republican Party and the Republic.
GO TO HELL DOUCHE BAG REID!!!
Reid needs another exercise equipment accident to happen...
Perhaps Harry will get so mad he falls off his Exercycle again and puts out his other eye. What a horse’s ass he is.
Can Harry Reid actually lash out at anything now? He looks like the psycho’s alter ego (mother) in the movie Psycho.
Everyone should remember to make sure Grassley’s stand here is not for nothing and VOTE FOR THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE IN NOVEMBER, whoever it is.
Harry Reid is one of those men who speaks with a forked tongue so often that he has not a clue when he is a lying scumbag. The History of Reid’s obstructionism is legendary and obscene (check out the name Estrada for judgeship), but because the enemy owns the media this man’s perfidy will never be enumerated. He is a filthy liar and a socialist ruler in his black Mormon heart. He has a temple recommend, BTW.
If Grassley finds himself getting a little weak in the knees by this POS Bully I suggest he ring up the Donald to sort Reid out.
Our Bully!
Go Trump
BUSTED! Watch Biden in '92 Say Senate Should REFUSE to Hold Hearings On Bush SCOTUS Nominees
Dingy Harry apparently — and conveniently — forgets 2001 when Jumpin’ Jim Jeffords, a RINO to the nth degree, got the vapors over some perceived slight and left the GOP to become an independent, thus throwing the Senate to the Dims; at which point the new Chairman of the Senate Judicial Committee, that loathsome Leaky Leahy, came right out and announced that ALL of GWB’s judicial nominees — at any level — were “Dead On Arrival.”
My God, how I hate Dims.
Damn, if only Harry could of worked in Nazi or Hitler some how..............
So what would be the actual effect of leaving Scalia’s seat open until next year?
Every decision that would have been a 5 to 4 win for the liberal wing of the Court will instead be a 5 to 3 win for the liberal wing of the Court. The only cases that will be affected are those that would have been a 5 to 4 win for the conservative wing of the Court. Those cases will now be deadlocked 4 to 4. The effect of a deadlock is that court of appeals decision will stand.
So the only cases that will actually be affected are those in which a 5 to 4 conservative majority would have overturned the court of appeals decision. No other cases will be affected one way or the other. Those few cases can always be reheard next term.
What this is really about is that liberals are giddy with excitement over the sudden unexpected opportunity to flip decisions that would have been 5 to 4 wins for the conservative wing into 5 to 4 wins for the liberal wing. Well there are still three 80 year old Justices left on the Court. So whether Scalia’s seat is filled or not, the next President is going to determine the direction of the Supreme Court for the next 30 years.
In the immortal words of Joe Biden, “once the political season is underway — and it is — action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over. That is what is fair to the nominee and essential to the process.”
