Question for the military experts.
As CIC, could the President order all military personnel reassigned to a different location? I say this because it’s believed by some that Obama wants to turn Gitmo over to the Castros.
Congress would never approve, obviously. But as the Supreme Commander, could he order the base abandoned and allow the Cubans to walk in unopposed?
It’s unsettling if this scenario can’t be dismissed out of hand.
Hope with all the ‘anger’ being demonstrated with the electorate they will start ‘leaning’ toward resistance to keep from getting voted out or worse.
When he goes to Cuba he has to promise the Castros something and maybe this is it?
