Classico jars used to be mason jars (at least they were, here where we live) and we’ve successfully used them as canning jars. About 1-2 years ago, the Sams Club where we shop started carrying Classico jars that were not re-usable. We were so disappointed.
Everything gets more cheaply made. Don’t get me started about my socks!
