You must be closer to the water than I am. It looks very pretty, for now, but we have more than the light dusting of 1", than they said we'd get. Can't see any grass, the terrace is covered, but the steps to it, aren't.
I didn’t factor in the lowering of production in America. If that brings prices down, then Mexico can’t compete if they raise their prices to cover the tariffs.

Even IF we pay for the wall, it will pay for itself with the reduced welfare payments and having to teach their kids English in school. Plus Americans will get jobs back, crime will be reduced, and ENGLISH will be spoken!
I also had hoped for a Trump/Cruz ticket but not now. With all the lies and Trump forcefully having gone after him, the tie is severed. Another scandal looming, who wrote the announcement that West had endorsed Trump? Cruz denied the allegation, Trump has not yet talked about it, the West people do not know from where it came...so many dishonest people who are trying to bring down Trump, in my opinion.
I did NOT need to have to rush off, IN A SNOW STORM, to get my dumb bridge reglued. Oh well, Next time, they'll use FOREVER gunk, so it shan't be "temporary" and keep getting loose.

Good question. But here’s the thing; they don’t get to set their prices in a vacuum. There will be someone else competing with them on price. So if their costs go up as aresult of duties they might be able to pass some of that on, but not all of it. Net result: they take some/most of that duty out of their hide.
Add another dimension to that. Let’s say that another country decides to play super nice with us. Allows American products to fairly compete in their domestic markets. Does a good job of screening visa applicants for us. And to sweeten the deal, offers to allow us to set up Gitmo 2 on their shores. We might make a very good deal with that country: only a 10% duty. They can price their products lower and better compete on price.
