Giuliani also gives Trump kudos on his understanding of complex policy issues, declaring, "You know, he is very good.
It's clear that he has an exceptionally good understanding of how the economy affects our foreign policy," Giuliani tells the newspaper.
"He understands what's happening with China, how they could stop North Korea in a heartbeat. This idea that he's only familiar with slogans, its not accurate at all."
Trump's growing network reminds Giuliani of one former President Ronald Reagan created in 1980, the Post reports.
"I think he could over perform in a general election similar to what Reagan did in 1980, bringing in new people," Giuliani says.
"He has that ability. On the other hand, I've told him when I've disagreed, telling him when I think he may be hurting himself including Trump's blast at former President George W. Bush during the Feb. 13 Republican candidates' debate.

” I think he may be hurting himself including Trump’s blast at former President George W. Bush during the Feb. 13 Republican candidates’ debate.”
Yeah, that was such an error that Jeb “Fredo” Bush is gone : )

I like Rudy Toot. He’d make a good mayor for NYC.
Gov. Greg Abbott as Vice President
Department of State, (return INS.) Newt Gingrich
Department of Justice, Rep. Steve King
Department of Treasury, (includes former Homeland Security - Customs) Carl Icahn (Offered and Accepted)
Department of War, (change the name back.) Include former VA function Gen. James Mattis
Department of Interior, (includes the legitimate functions only of former Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Homeland Security - Border Patrol, and Energy Departments) Gov. Sarah Palin
Department of Labor and Commerce, Herman Cain
This proposed model has the President directly managing seven subordinates which is optimal.
Department of Education William J. Bennett in a Temporary position
as it will be ELIMINATED as proposed by The Donald, 9/23/15 at a Columbia, SC Town Hall with Sen. Tim Scott.
Department of Homeland Security ELIMINATE
Department of Energy ELIMINATE
Department of Health and Human Services ELIMINATE
Department of Housing and Urban Development ELIMINATE
Department of Veterans Affairs ELIMINATE
Department of Agriculture ELIMINATE
Department of Transportation ELIMINATE
On Fox news Sunday, 10/18/15 Trump said he would cut funding for EPA and Dept. of Ed.
In non-cabinet level jobs
Gen. Peter Pace as National Security Adviser
LTC Ralph Peters as Director of National Intelligence (NDI)
Sheriff Clarke should be FBI Director
Michelle Bachman as IRS Commissioner under Secretary Carl Icahn in Treasury
Admiral James A. Ace Lyons as Undersecretary of War Navy Branch.
LTC Allen West as Undersecretary of War Army Branch.
Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney as Undersecretary of War Air Force Branch.
Ted Nugent as Undersecretary of Interior
Lynnette Diamond
Hardaway and Rochelle Silk
Richardson would be great as President Trumps Co-Press Secretaries.
Marsha Blackburn, Speaker of the House
Does he have a lot of women in his kitchen like Kasich?
This reminds me of why Rubio is so great. He does stuff like this to REAL men. /s
In addition to his great handling of 9/11, Rudy did one thing his NY Republican base borough really appreciated: he closed Fresh Kills (the largest trash dump in the world) after Staten Island unsuccessfully attempted to secede from New York City.
Sometimes those simple yet complex things heal a great rift.
I certainly wouldn’t be upset with your choices, but I’ve got a few of my own:
Department of State, (return INS.) John Bolton; put Jeff Sessions in charge of the INS portion.
Department of Justice, Ted Cruz (for a while, then appoint him to the Supreme Court and replace with Steve King).
Department of Treasury, (includes former Homeland Security - Customs) - Karl Denninger (of The Market Ticker blog fame - he might be the only one in the cabinet who is MORE outspoken than Trump). Denninger is extremely quick at shooting holes in BS financial plans, and will get a workable plan to balance the budget in 8-10 years in front of Trump. Icahn’s company is in trouble now, he presents too many questions and complications. Make him an unofficial advisor.
Department of War, (change the name back.) Include former VA function - you’ll need someone who has either not been in the military, or who has been retired for at least 10 years (or you’ll need to change the law). If you can get the law changed before Trump enters office, to be signed on January 20, then I’m all for Mattis.
Department of Interior, (includes the legitimate functions only of former Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Homeland Security - Border Patrol, and Energy Departments). Yeah, Palin is a good choice to drive the libs out of their minds, but I want someone in there who has the combination of both oil industry and security/military experience. Someone tough as nails that won’t be the easy target of an SNL skit.
Department of Labor and Commerce, Herman Cain. Don’t care much about this department, so I will go with your choice.
....”this is what Trump meant by becoming part of the establishment to make deals with the establishment for the benefit of the establishment.”........
Looks like it’s going to be that way....he’ll be drawing a lot on his ‘NY City connections’ as no doubt many of them will want a piece of the pie when all is said and done. It’s how NY City works.........what was once Costa Nostra has changed to corporate cronies it seems to me....but they still operate similar.
