Automatic registration with drivers license? "Motor voter" was passed during the Clinton administration (National Voting Rights Act of 1993).
Ostensibly, it affords greater convenience to voters. In actuality, it was a way to expand the franchise to non-citizens and felons.

Automatic registration with drivers license? Not just drivers license either. When you sign up for most state services food stamps, rent assistance, medicaid,..... same deal as drivers license.
