Nope. AITF was a watered down copy of Till Death Us Do Part. Its the one example where the copy is as good as the original. I wouldn’t say better but probably as good.
The US has a long history of copying UK comedies and dramas, come successful, some not. Some awful. Many classics from the US are copies of the British original, from Threes Company to House of Cards.
The UK occasionally has taken the reverse course. Again, with some good and horrible results.
