Wonderful post! I agree! It took me a long while to figure out that; after decades of Liberal government doing it’s best to destroy everything Conservative and Christian that has ever made this nation great; that I could no longer combine my Christian faith with my Patriotism. It was a hard lesson, with many setbacks. But when Obama won his second term; I had to come to terms. My Christian values and beliefs can’t be changed by any government or power, but the ability to practice them and live them in peace depends on a nation and a country that will at least allow it. America is teetering on the brink of those Christian values and the practice thereof being declared illegal. In fact, there are some instances where that is already the case.

Therefore, I had to stop the unrealistic practice of judging my political choices with my faith. Politics are of worldly business and should be treated as such. Our forefathers went to great lengths to make sure that religion would never force itself on Americans. It just so happened that, since our beginnings, life here in America was compatible and almost totally in agreement with Christianity. It only took a few decades of Liberal thinking and power in politics to unleash just about every evil and depravity that is hostile to Christianity on America. They called it “progress”. They called it “advancement”. They taught it to our youth while we, in our American complacency, ignored the onslaught until it became so blatant that we couldn’t any longer. Now, after two terms of a President that hates all things American, it’s almost too late to save any vestige of what once was America, where Christians were free, safe and unfettered in the practice if their faith.

At this time in our history, Christians and Conservatives MUST come to terms with the idea that they must separate the practice of their faith with the imperative to save the America in which they MAY practice their faith.

No power on earth can take away our convictions and our Christian faith and salvation. But the freedom to practice and live it is in grave danger. Donald Trump hasn’t ever given the impression that he’ll put all the things that are the antithesis of Christianity back in the box. No one can, no matter how they try to give that impression. What he has said is that he will protect the right of Christians to practice and live their faith.

The bottom line is that a Christian nation with Christian values is not the business of government to provide. It’s the business of government to provide the freedom to live, work and teach as such without hindrance. The business of spreading the values, convictions and morals of Christians can’t be achieved by electing politicians. That’s for us to do. The business of Patriots is to protect the freedoms that make the job of Christians easier and possible. It has come to the point where Americans must stop holding on to the pipedream of a Christian President who will wave his wand(pen) and put all the modern day evils back in the box. Souls aren’t saved by political actions, good or bad. They’re saved by devoted Christians one at a time. The only thing that can be legislated is the freedom to do so.
