Good point. Cruz fought the Washington Republican establishment. Got to give the man credit for that.

I believe I read that Chris McDaniel is backing Cruz, but I could be wrong. He wasn’t for Jebbie though.

Cruz was chairman of the NRSC during the time McDaniels and Cochran were competing in their primary. The NRSC defended Cochran, because the NRSC supports incumbency. Cruz claims that this was offensive to him, and is one of the areas where he claims McConnell misled him.

One has to infer what one does, from the facts and explanations. Cruz likely has plausible deniability, but to me it looks like he is trying to straddle the fence between establishment and insurgent.
