Reagan Gets Bill Easing Abortion In California - Jun 14, 1967
June 14, 1967 The California Assembly passed and sent to Governor Reagan a bill easing the state/s abortion law, unchanged in 95 years.
Reagan said the bill was /by no means perfect/ and would have to be watched closely to prevent California from becoming an abortion haven.
But he said he would sign it despite his doubts about some possible /loopholes./ /I am fully sympathetic with attempts to liberalize the outdated abortion law now on the law books of California,/ the freshman governor said....
The bill...would permit abortions before the 20th week of pregnancy if:
-The prospective mother/s physical or mental health is in danger.
-The pregnancy resulted from incest or forcible rape, or statutory rape in the case of a girl 14 years old or younger.
The old law permits abortions only if the life of the prospective mother is endangered.

Sadly you are right..
Why would anyone bother? Pro-life activism as it is practiced by the white-knights, manginas, and soup-kitchen advocates has accomplished essentially nothing.
If you are really pro-life, you know it's all kabuki theater.
“Pro-life activism is going to be banned soon.”
When, how, and by whom?
The liberals are taking full control! Pro-life activism is going to be banned soon.

The appointment of justices like John Roberts put a fork in that about 11 years ago.
“I think it is a jolt to the legal system when you overturn precedent ... It is not enough that you may think that a prior decision was wrongly decided,” Roberts said before the Senate Judiciary Committee during the second day of his confirmation hearings.
“As a general principle, he said, he believes in “the importance of settled expectations,” the New York Times reports. The heart of the abortion case is “settled as a precedent of the court, entitled to respect under principles of stare decisis,” the concept that long-established rulings should be given extra weight. Still, Roberts declined to answer specifically how he would rule if faced with the question of overturning Roe v. Wade, according to the Associated Press.”
