Ted lies way to much for me. He set the bar way to high for himself. He burned “principled” to ashes on the altar of wining. He’s a status quo politician just like all the rest.

Same here. Cruz lies too easily. I don’t even want him for Trump’s VP anymore. In his speech tonight, he sounded bitter, entitled, and uninspiring. I agree with those here who say if he can’t get higher than third-place in a 73% evangelical state like South Carolina, it’s over for him.
I wish he had played the long game and had ridden Trump's coattails to greater visibility and a top spot in a Trump administration, after which he would still have had two decades to run for president from a much stronger position. He isn't seasoned enough yet; but I guess his money men did not want to let him to be a second banana this time. Even Trump at his victory party stopped his supporters from booing Ted tonight. Winners don't keep the bitterness going.
