Believe it or not, the US Marshals Service in Houston is arresting people for not paying their outstanding federal student loans.
Paul Aker says he was arrested at his home last week for a $1500 federal student loan he received in 1987.
He says seven deputy US Marshals showed up at his home with guns and took him to federal court where he had to sign a payment plan for the 29-year-old school loan.

With seven doughnut munchers on the detail, they spent all the money they may collect and then some.
Ha ha.
Welcome to the end of American patience with deadbeat grifters.
The lazy little turd only had 29 years to pay back his loan.
I suspect the overt heavy-handedness in enforcement is intended to turn public opinion against collecting on these long-overdue loans, myself. An intentional precursor to forgiving the loans, in other words.
And none of that is relevant for not paying back a loan, and refusing to appear in court regarding the same.
You might want to see what was done about this in the founding father’s day.
I will give you a hint: Forbearance extending twenty-nine years was not happening.
“but not have jackbooted thugs come after him “
—
He’s been ignoring all attempts for almost thirty years.
THIRTY YEARS.
What would you suggest as a collection method ?
.
.
Law enforcement is all about money, power, and headlines.
It wasn’t “heavy handed”.
Read the story.
I will make a suggestion to you: If you have a Marshall come to your house after you refuse to appear in court, don’t claim to be armed and threaten the Marshall. If you do that, expect little sympathy and probably a lot more Marshalls. Also: be prepared to be mocked the same way this deadbeat is being mocked.
I thought about that graphic just yesterday, when I saw a cop with a skin tight haircut. I just wonder...why? Is he worried about lice while in WWI trench warfare? Does he carry a gas mask that requires short hair to fit well? Most likely its just a ‘look’ associated with the increasingly militant police.
True. Many of the mush heads are paying to be propagandized and indoctrinated with a degree that gives them cred with the UNIPARTY apparatus. Those who are not favored, can do community service to discharge the debt or have debt forgiveness from some future rat legislation. Others - well they just have to face the consequences of their own actions.
I’m with you on this one.
Pay your bleeping college bills.
So some poor working stiff (and his/her kids!) don’t have to pay it for you with their taxes!
I saw this story, they had been contacting him for years, stuck letters n his door and talked to him on the phine threatening him with prosecution and he would not pay.
Then they finally brought charges and he was no show in court. Then they came to his house to arrest him and he threatened them. So they left and came back in sway gear to arrest him.
Totally legit in my opinion.
Apologies for the typos. SWAT gear not sway gear
Uuuuuhh, maybe he just like very short hair ????
I find it amazing how you interpret a haircut.
Sometimes a haircut is just-—————a haircut.
.
If it were isolated to this one instance, I’d agree with you. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating for failing to pay back student loans. I just happen to think that those who want them forgiven aren’t too upset about this, it will turn public opinion. It does come across as heavy-handed. Does a SWAT team come after you when your house is foreclosed? No.
It wasn’t merely short - it was a high and tight...featuring a tuft of hair on the top and skin shaven sides. It is so absurd, we weren’t allowed to have a haircut like that in the military - although it is still prevalent in basic training units to demonstrate ‘motivation’. I was forced to have one at airborne school for similar reasons.
Now back to the cop. Cops are supposed to present a certain look - shoes shined, beard shaved, trousers creased....in other words, appearance is a matter of departmental policy. So I’m really just amazed that high and tight haircuts like that are the norm in today’s police force.
I paid mine back long, long ago. It wasn’t that much.
Why is anyone supporting people who do not honor their commitments?
Votes against Bernie....
Ban student loans. They are the bane of a Rational Society.
Big Education is a funding mechanism for Democrats.
So it’s untouchable.
