Ouch!

But, yes, GOPsterinMA, I’m afraid you’re spot on.

This chattering elderly Leftist is what he is, and the Catholic Faith is what it is, and the two are quite different, aren’t they?

These Lefty, socialist, Marxist types attempting to speak for Holy Mother Church, at the Vatican, are surely serving as the “clanging symbols” of Sacred Scripture, with little love for the great Church, or her Tradition, but a disordered love of the Magisterium.

God help us, we are without a Shepherd for a time and the people of God are being purified, suffering embarrassment and shame. Perhaps, our own repentance will come upon us soon, and our Lord will gift us again with a true and fine Shepherd.

I am watching my recording of the Scalia coverage prior to the Requiem Mass and then the RM. It is so beautiful, and like me, Scalia was a traditional Catholic and loved the old Latin Mass. Hallelujah!

Actually that's not unusual. My wife and I have an "anniversary date" of when we first met. That actually has more meaning to us than the day we were married.

And today we are celebrating Valentine's Day. We always celebrate a week later because we don't want to join the hordes of people who go out to restaurants on Valentine's Day itself. The large crowds, the harried waitstaff, the limited menus, etc. People are nuts to go to a restaurant on Valentine's night. We go to a nice restaurant a week later and have a much better experience.

Most of the comments I have seen have been directed at the pope and his strange unhinged comments.

I was raised to see the Catholic church and the papal portion of it as evil. Protestant churches has had a very negative experience with Catholicism and the Church of England as well.

As a person who tries to be fair, I don’t see individual Catholics to be evil. They are trying to serve God or have a connection to Him just like others are. They don’t delve into the more political aspects of the church and it’s past

I don’t necessarily have a problem with the church. I do believe cases can be made that it is problematic. I don’t object to that. At the same time I believe Protestant churches have their problem’s too.

This pope is not a good leader or representative, He’s going to draw criticism to himself and the church as well. That is unfortunate, but not everyone is going to be broad minded on this.

As for those money laundering (and like) comments, people are introduced to many concept, some of them very wild, and some folks buy in. That’s too bad.

We all have to develop a filtering system to deal with conspiracy theories. Some folks do better than others.

I do not think those entities are big money-laundering enterprises. I wouldn’t rule it totally out either.

All humans are flawed. Every human enterprise will have some problematic issues.

Take care.

Evangelicals are choosing ethnic identity over theology.

Nothing good will come from this.
