1 )Choices have consequences
2} The rest of the world doesn't give a crap about your opinions, feelings or stupidity.
Whether they can learn anything from these lessons is yet to be seen.
“PARENTS: stop paying for your rug rats at college! This is ridiculous”
You said it best.
the alma mater is an embarrassment ...
send yer kids to kommuneitie kollege
Interesting, I don’t hear black students complain, or yellow students (i.e., Asians). Perhaps Hispanics have activism more than education on their minds?
Idiots. I hope they enjoy their careers as burger flippers or janitors.
Excellent.
I once saw a list of the most liberal colleges in the U.S.
The only one I remember was that number one was Brown.
I may be wrong but I think a lot of liberal politicians send their kids to Brown.
Brown, yuck.
Might as well go to Lomonosov University, circa Joseph Stalin.
yeah! THANKS
as an adult, I would wish for my workload to be reduced so that I could spend more time walking around in the sunshine with (political or almost any other) signs, chatting with people, singing songs with my pals, or doing anything else that Felt Good
but alas, my workload is NOT going to be cut back so that someone else can pay for me to do my choice of activities, whether political or otherwise
college-aged kids are old enough to learn how to live successfully as adults. If they want to do political “activism” they can learn how to fit it into their lives after they’ve done their work (like, attend classes and do their homework, etc). Their primary jobs are academic learning on campus, NOT outside social or community or political campaigning, organizing, picketing, singing, leafleting, canvassing, polling, or complaining.
I wish we could run Palmer Raids through every university and school in America.
ps: and the kids are damned lucky to be able to attend an expensive little college like Brown
they should take advantage of whatever learning they can get there now... as their first priority
and not be running around the country “campaigning” for political hacks, etc
When I was in college we had an excellent motivator for keeping our grades up, it was called Viet Nam.
What would these ouch cubes have to say if they had that looming in the background? I bet they would pull a Sly Stalone and go to their safe place.
Hey, someone at Brown is actually “getting an education”!
From the University of Hard Knocks-Reality Campus.
After that free education, they should demand a high paying job to apply their degree in lesbian studies to.
I ran into a Brown grad at the UPS Store in Taos NM. She asked me what the height, length and width of my package was. I told her 12x24x5. She said “but which one is the width.” I explained that it doesn’t matter because three dimensions define the rectangular solid. Any one of the dimensions could be the width depending on how it is sitting on the table.
After several attempts, she says, “don’t argue with me, I graduated from Brown University.”
After a few seconds, I could not resist. “Well, they sure didn’t teach you any geometry there.”
