Well the thing we are bidden to do in Christ is to call such pitiful people back to loving the Lord. The evil loves of adultery are the way the flesh attempts to fill in for the missing love of God.
That’s why I take the stance I do on my FReeper page, even though I have gotten some flak as “pro-gay.” I don’t care about flak because neither did Christ. He just went right on saving sinners even the ones the world said shouldn’t be approached that way because they could not possibly deserve it.
For 10 people who utter the buzz words of Christianity I doubt that maybe more than 1 believe it seriously. It is just such a thought paradigm shift from the world.
That’s the way I see it, too. (But for the Grace Of God- it could be any of us). The greatest commandment is to Love one another, according to the Lord. That’s not the same as condoning or enabling or whatever.
Me, too re taking flak.
I’ve read your page. A couple of times. It’s excellent.
(Sometimes, people can’t seem to get their heads around being Saved By Grace rather than somehow ‘’deserving’’ it. I do, too, even after all these years & have to remind myself sometimes. We live in a merit based world, so it’s an unconscious habit.)
I guess so. That’s when it gets tough for me. When people try to exploit the Lord, it’s sometimes hard for me to resist the urge to ‘straighten them out’. lol I get all How dare you?!
