Fifth largest in the world. Let that little fact sink in anyone who thinks government is the solution.

Trump will be 70 this Summer, which is why he keeps evaluating everyone’s energy. He’s very cognizant that his own is an act.

All of the US hospitals are owed billions from ObamaCare. They, too, are running deficits.

I’m not sure you’re tracking the subject very well. Trump essentially avers that he’ll continue the mandate and will make Obamacare better.

In the context of the interview he was discussing insuring those with pre-existing conditions. Trump has repeated said hundreds of times that he wants Obamacare repealed and replaced. He has mentioned HSAs, selling insurance across state lines, etc.

The reality is that Congress will have to act first. The President can't repeal anything without something from Congress. I am tired hearing political candidates with all these detailed plans about tax reform, healthcare, etc., Just like battle plans go out the window after first contact with the enemy, there will be plenty of horse-trading just to get something thru Congress. That was true of Obamacare as well.

Nothing about tort reform. Nothing about more doctors. Nothing about anything that will bring greater efficiency to the medical world. It’s all going to YUGE though.

You don't seem to understand the role of a President and how he reacts with Congress. It really is silly to get down in the weeds., The only ones it impresses are policy wonks and nerds. The average voter could care less about the minutiae. I guess Trump will have to present a detailed plan about the construction of the fence, i.e., the materials used, height, width, costs, construction plan, etc.

Trump is a manager who sets the overall objective. In this case it is repeal and replace Obamacare. The details will be worked out. Next issue.

I don’t understand the role of Congres, Kabar? It looks to me with all the wild promises that Trump makes (without explanations as to how they’ll occur) doesn’t understand congress. Trump promises everything and says it will happen as if he were going to be a bigger authoritarian ruler than Obama. Congress, the way Trump tries to con the voters, is a non issue. With Trump at the head of the ticket the way his fervent believers hope, the Republican Party will probably lose Congress. I note that for many of these Trump supporters that’s fine. They hate the Republican Party. And what party do they think will fill that void? It will be the Democrats. There is no other Party. I suppose, then, Trump can go in to full deal making mode. But don’t kid yourself. Those deals won’t be the ones he’s been promising. If he were to try to keep his promises, he’d be thwarted by Congress. Trump can destroy the Republican Party, as is hoped for by many on this forum, but he cannot do much more.
