Either that or he thinks Trump is really a conservative and "He doesn't really mean it " when he says things that sound left wing liberal i.e. -
Apparently Trump is once again talking about people "dying in the streets" (promoting leftist talking point) and that he likes the Obamacare mandate.
Once again I'm heard a Trump person on Rush's show saying "Well he didn't mean that" and try to fill in with what he thinks Trump meant.
This is a recurring theme with Trump supporters. Say something about Trump's wanting increased Ethanol standards ( to levels higher than what Obama wants), to be enforced by the EPA - their response is "He (Trump) didn't mean that." Or "He's just saying that to win."
So how does anybody know what he's going to do as POTUS?
He is not clear at all about what his plans are and he changes his mind constantly.
He also seems to be easily rattled over minor incidents.
And what about the fact that he has the highest negatives of anyone? Add to that all the polls showing he loses, to Hillary and Bernie- I don't get why anyone thinks he's going to win the general.
I continue to pray that Ted Cruz will be our next president.
Trump is best read between the lines:
Trump hates lies.
Trump hates hypocrites.
He isn’t perfect yet on his knowledge of which is which (he’s made some egregious errors, which appear to be due to over-simplistic thinking) but the quality of his focus is improving with time.
In the long run, conservatives working with Trump (and more than just a catcall ministry which seems to be the mode du jour) will find a pretty good friend. Jeff Sessions has.
